Meet Goofi Book Team

The “Goofi Book Team” consists of children book authors, ECD Experts, Education Researchers, Editor Panel. Our books are developed in-house after extensive research and collaboration with all children. That’s the reason why Goofi Books are highly engaging, able to improve creative and social skills, and moral values. Our Academic Books are also developed in a way that helps children to learn by themselves, get engaged with all the designed activities.
Currently, Goofi Books has a team of 20 people consists of writers, content creators, illustrators and ECD Experts & Researchers.

Waliullah Bhuiyan

Publisher, Author and Book Director

Waliullah Bhuiyan is the Chairman Light of Hope Ltd. – the company behind Goofi Books. He is working for 15 years in education sector. He started his career in BRAC. He completed his Masters from Germany. He is a prominent children book author and the only author in Bangladesh whose books are used in more than 90 countries. His books are published in several languages. He also wrote several children books for Sisimpur. He has won various International and National Awards for his contribution to children’s education in Bangladesh and globally.

Tahmina Rahman

Author, Content Designer

Tahamina Rahman is the Founder of Kids Time – the largest after-school program brand in Bangladesh, initiated by Light of Hope. She brings her hands-on experience in developing creative content and curriculum development to ensure 21st century skills among school children. She is working over 8 years in education sector. She is internationally recognized for her amazing children’s content that are being used by hundreds of schools in more than 30 countries.

Noushin Afsana

Author and Content designer

Nousin Afsana is the supervisor of goofi books and audio-visual productions. She studied at the University of Dhaka. Then she started working for children. She has done ECD training, finished a creative writing course, and participated in a number of story writing workshops. Nousin wrote various creative and academic book in Bangla with activities for pre- and primary-aged children. She dreams of a world with children that are imaginative, creative, and emotionally intelligent.

Kuasha Habib

Editor, Book Designer and Author

Kuasha Habib is the Editor of Goofi Books. After completing his graduate and post graduate degree on English Literature, he studied another Masters on Printing and Publications at the University of Dhaka. Before working with goofi, Kuasha worked as a freelance writer and editor for 12 years with many publishers. Beside editing, he is very much fond of conceptual story writing and book designing. His ambition is to write and design children’s books as much as he could.

Anika Habib

Author & Education Expert

Anika Habib completed her graduation and post-graduation on International Education Research (IER) from University of Dhaka. She started her career with Light of Hope where she developed a number of contents and books focusing on problem-solving, emotional intelligence for children. She is currently working as Technical Manager at IRC.

Mehadi Rahman

Author & Education Expert

Mehadi Rahman achieved his graduate and post graduate degree on Education & Research from the University of Dhaka. He conducted and published a number of researches on ECD, future skills for children from Light of Hope. He is also the author for Goofi Math series. Currently, he is working as Assistant Director at Bangladesh Bank-The Central Bank of Bangladesh

Mahmuda Akhter

Advisor & ECD Expert

Ms. Mahmuda Akhter is the leading figure of ECD in Bangladesh. She is one of the founding members and also the Executive Director of the Institute of Child and Human Development (ICHD). She is also a member of Executive Board of Bangladesh ECD Network (BEN). She is a member of National ECCD Technical Committee under Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

Gopal Dey

Advisor

Gopal Kumar Dey is Additional Director at IID and Head of ASER Bangladesh at IID and Director – Program & Research at Light of Hope. Before rejoining IID, Gopal served as Senior Manager-Program, Research and M&E at Sesame Workshop Bangladesh –Sisimpur (country office of Sesame Workshop), the largest education brand in the world and also in Bangladesh.
